I remember going into the local candy store. Ten years old and looking for some chocolate and, a peek. The magazines we're always at the back of the store but all of the magazines were there. Sure, Mad Magazine wasn't all that close to the ones that were partially covered but close enough. Those magazines were covered with beautiful women and they were mostly naked. Dad bought our first computer before the was "the internet" as we know it. over $2000 for a no-name 386sx piece of crap that today would be embarrassed by your average paperweight. The occasional homework report was typed up and printed out on fan fold paper but for the most part the thing collected dust. Then, this online Bulletin Board craze started catching on and I had to see what it was all about. I acquired a smoker of a 2400 baud modem and got onto a couple of these things. I got an account with a service that actually provided the means to browse their board graphically. I'm sure some of you geeks remember "slip" connections but that also is another story. The board I was using actually had an adult section and their were pictures... of.... naked..... women....... FUCKING! Oh, this was too good to be true. The computer was on a desk in our family room so I of course started losing sleep staying up late long after everyone else had gone to bed so I could spend some quality time with my graphical browser. I soon became pretty savvy at this online BBS thing.
Technology Advances
Another fast-forward... AOL. This was the shit. I got my first AOL account and all hell broke loose. I actually had "myname"@aol.com until it got cancelled for breaking their terms of service. LOL Anyway, once that door was opened, the possibilities seemed endless. There were porn pictures, porn sounds, porn stories, porn, porn, porn galore. I eventually ended up saving enough money and bought my own computer... for my own room... which I subsequently never left. Well, it seemed shortly after AOL, Compuserve and some others started taking off and connecting to "The Internet" I was seeing pay for porn sites show up. Now why in the world would anyone pay for this stuff when you can find pictures without too much effort? Video. Movies. Moving Pictures. Girls getting rammed and moaning and screaming and cumming. Oh, I had to do it. I joined one of those pay sites and they delivered as promised. They had a bazillion images and a few dozen videos. it took forever to download the stuff even with a blazing 14,400 modem but good things were worth waiting for. I was going blind in my room by myself, it was ok. I'll take the blindness in return for the almighty porn. Now that I've been doing this professionally for a while we've got broadband. What a Godsend for the porn fan. Video, Live Sex, Steaming Sex... It's porntopia! The options are endless.
Variations on a Theme
Today you can find ALL KINDS of porn / adult sites, niches, etc. There are porn blogs, picture galleries, erectile dysfunction sites, link dumps, live chat, sex dating and all kinds of other adult sites. They really are too numerous to list. Some are just too disgusting but to each his own I guess. If you're a porn fan, online is the pace to be. It's all there waiting for you. Unless you're the kind who gets off on going to the corner store just to watch the wet-behind-the-ears counter clerk blush and get all flustered at your purchase of the latest edition Creamy Cucumbers and 100 Erotic Uses for Fresh Vegetables then online is where you need to be.
In The Business
So AOL went away. For me anyway. Now I have cable and can find porn samples whenever I want them. Well, being in the business I get the raw materials of course. I've seen porn sites come and porn sites go but there's one thing that is always true. Online porn is never free. You may stumble across a site once in a while with a bunch of images on it but it will also have ads. Now, those "free" images will attract a lot of visitors and if just one person in a hundred clicks on an ad and joins a site then someone is paying. Now I can tell you that it's not as easy as it used to be to get thousands or hundreds of thousands of visitors to your site, but it's still very doable and if you get that 1 percent to join a pay site then you're probably making a profit.
Take this link for example. Porn.com It's the same as the screenie at the top of this article. You can see that the front page naturally has several banners offering goods and services for a fee. There is plenty of "free" content as well though. All to entice you. There are picture galleries, chat rooms, erotic stories, dating advice links and a lot more. No videos though. Videos and Live Feeds are almost exclusively for paying customers. Now, at least 1% of you browsing that site will click on one of those banners. Now, there's nothing at all wrong with that. Most of the sites those banners are hot-links to will offer more pics, video samples, etc. and if you join them by paying with credit card, online check, dialer software, etc. you'll be a member of a site where you can find all of that great content in one place. No more searching the net, just log on to your members area and it's all right there in front of you.
Membership Has It's Advantages
At one of those "pay sites" mentioned above, I was able to view hundreds, maybe thousands of the raunchiest images you've ever seen. Everything from anal fisting to pierced scrotums. Gay, straight, bi, lesbian. It's all there. They also had an outstanding collection of full movies to view. Only worthwhile if you had a broadband connection. DSL or Cable. They did have many smaller clips for those still on dial-up. There were also videos and live cams from outside providers. These are called "feeds" and they provide an even larger selection of content for the sites customers. No extra cost to the customer(you). So, now whenever I get in the mood everything, (penis included) is right at my fingertips. It's well worth the $30 for the month and since I just joined for the 2 day trial, I can cancel before tomorrow and I wont get billed if I'm not satisfied. Just think, if you went and rented 5 videos in a month you'd be even. I've got this great content that will probably take me 6 months to go through and I don't even have to go anywhere.
The Fine Print
Look, most of these sites are well worth it. The value is there if you're a regular porn fan. A lot of adult sites will have offers, but the trustworthy ones will have a distinct link to terms of their deal before you buy. If you can't find a terms link, then go to a different site, then READ THEM! It's just like any other product. If you don't like the terms, don't make the purchase. The terms should have an email contact and maybe even a phone number. If you're really not the trusting type, email the webmaster first and see if they get back to you. If they don't exist, then buyer beware.
